Privacy Policy
At Zentium Studio ("rateME", the "Platform") we care about your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the Platform, why and how we process it, who we share it with, and your rights.
1.Data we collect
When you use the Platform we process:
- Account: email address, username, display name, optional profile photo, and an irreversibly hashed version of your password.
- Content: your reviews, ratings, lists, uploaded videos, comments, likes and follow relationships.
- Messaging: direct messages you send to users you mutually follow.
- Technical: session cookie, IP address, browser/device info and basic usage logs (for security and abuse prevention).
2.Why we process it
- To create your account, keep you signed in and verify your identity.
- To provide core features such as reviews, ratings, lists and videos.
- To run social features like following, likes, comments and messaging.
- To detect and prevent spam, fraud and abuse.
- To meet our legal obligations.
3.Cookies
We only use functional cookies: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. If you delete the cookie, your session ends.
4.Who we share data with
We do not sell your data. We only share it with service providers needed to run the Platform:
- Hosting & database: Vercel Inc. and Supabase (application and database infrastructure).
- Email: Resend (verification and notification emails).
- Film data: TMDB (only film/series metadata is fetched; your personal data is not sent to TMDB).
These providers may host servers abroad, so your data may be transferred outside your country. See the Data Protection Notice for details.
5.What is public
Your username, profile, reviews, ratings, lists and videos are public on the Platform. Your direct messages and email address are private. The text of a review you mark as containing spoilers is not served to other users unless you explicitly reveal it.
6.Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period; statutory retention obligations are reserved.
7.Exercising your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your data. You can update most of your information from the Settings page. For other requests, email onur.gokce@zentiumstudio.com.
8.Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We close accounts we determine to belong to someone under 13.
9.Changes
We may update this policy. We will notify you of significant changes via the Platform. The current date appears at the top of this page.
